Gilplin Glass mural, with Quincy Owens, 2020
Latex paint and plasma-cut steel
This mural is derived from The Way Home drawings and photographs I made between 2017 and 2019. When Quincy was approached about a mural project at this location, he came to me to collaborate. I live one block over from Gilpin Glass, and previously worked with them on signage design for their building. Quincy developed an abstracted background derived from a photograph I took, as well as leading fabrication and installation, and I drew a map centered around Gilpin Glass.
